2012: Soviet Playing Cards and Mayan Iconography

This is a fantastic work of art that you should not pass if you put your hands in this custom deck of playing cards. The Soviet playing cards were made with Mayan motifs at a time when the only vendor was the Soviet Union State and it is assumed there are very few.

The artist also included the Tzolkin glyphs on each side of the cards. Obviously, they were interested in Mayan designs for unknown reasons before Russian linguist Yuri Knorosov finally broke the decipherment of Mayan glyphs.

For an enlarged view of the cards, you can visit the English-Russian website to see the collection with more visual details.
