2012 Mayan Fantasy Fashion Series – January Design 2

This new January fashion design is inspired by the purist lines of another great fashion master, Hubert De Givenchy. The House of Givenchy was created when Lord Pakal Ahau was born in 1952. The reader can find Givenchy’s biography here.

As a trivia note, Givenchy was the favorite dresser of Jacqueline Kennedy for all events, including the funeral of President John F. Kennedy.

In our design, we wanted a pure black satin dress and our Lord Pakal selected one of our original sketches with a fine Maya motif, a butterfly from Teotihuacan, Mexico.

So, for the female celebrities going to Oscar night in Hollywood this year, we hope to see this inspiration as a source. Sometimes we are amazed at the fashion dresses. Sometimes we are not and we wonder who dress these people who are in front of the screen for millions to watch. Right, Vogue?

NOTES FROM THE EDITOR: The new Pakalian fashion logo was designed by Lord Pakal Ahau as a tribute to our New Mesoamerican Mythology for 2012 and beyond.
