The 2012 Title Font Used In The 2012 Movie Posters

The 2012 typeface selected for the 2012 movie posters is a variation of the font Agency FB with a design date in 1995 and published by Font Bureau.

ATF Agency Gothic was designed by Morris Fuller Benton in 1932 as a lone titling.

In 1990, David Berlow saw potential in the squared forms of the narrow, monotone capitals. He designed a lowercase and added a bold to produce Font Bureau Agency, an immediately popular hit.

Sensing strengths that surpassed those of a useful condensed, Font Bureau developed Agency into a major series offering five weights in five widths. (Ref.: Myfonts.com).

You can purchase the set of fonts for Windows TrueType and Windows PostScript here.

And here’s our 3D render using the movie font.
