Ah Pook Is Here – William S. Burroughs 2012

We just discovered this website treasure today. It is the graphic novel ‘Ah Pook Is Here’ (1978), named after the Mayan god of death Ah Puch. The book is a collaboration of writer William S. Burroughs and pop art artist Malcolm Mc Neill. The website includes the full illustrations.

‘Ah Pook Is Here’ was prescient both with respect to its form and its content. In light of the current ‘End of Days’ hysteria, the ‘War on Terror’, and the end of the Mayan Long Count in 2012, it is now relevant.

This book should be made as the real 2012 movie with psychological overtones, worth of an Oscar nomination. Where is Quentin Tarantino? Enjoy the website! More details at Wikipedia.
